Douglas "Tony"  Gillespie
Douglas "Tony" Gillespie, 55, of Greenville went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2016 after battling a lengthy illness, with his family by his bedside. Born in Greenville, SC. He was the son of the late Douglas R Gillespie and survived by his mother Sybil A Gillespie.

He was the loving husband of 36 years of Linda B Gillespie. Survivors also include a son; Nathan A. Gillespie and his fiancé Breanna, and a daughter; Tamara R Dickenson. With pride he was the grandfather of Trent Wright, Hunter Gillespie, Trinaty Dickenson, Jadyn Dickenson, and Chloe Gillespie, a brother; Todd Gillespie and his wife Katherine, a sister; Tammy Meyer and husband John, nieces; Meagan Hawkins and her husband Adrian, Kayla Pope and her husband Anthony, nephews; Travis Gillespie, and Coy Gillespie, a great nephew; Noah Hawkins.

He was an excellent automotive paint specialist, and he enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren that were his pride and joy. Known as “Red” to his friends, he loved NASCAR, fishing, the outdoors, and could always make people laugh.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 5pm, Thursday June 16, 2016 at Monaghan Baptist Church at 1500 W Parker Rd, Greenville SC 29617. Pastor Jackie Arnold presiding.
